We wanted to make you aware of some simple changes that can help decrease the likely hood of toll fraud effecting your company.

The first, and most important thing you can do is if you do not make international calls, call your dial tone provider and ask to have all international dialing restricted.

Second, ensure that all voicemail boxes for employees have AT LEAST 6 digit passwords assigned to them. In order to change any passwords that are not currently set or are not 6 digits you will need to

Log into the mailbox as your normally do

Select option 4 – Mailbox Management

Select option 2 – Change your password

It will announce the current password and ask you to press 1 to change the password press 2 to accept the current password

ALL PASSWORDS SHOULD BE 6 DIGITS AND SHOULD NOT BE 000000 OR 123456 OR 111111 OR OTHER SIMPLE PASSWORDS

You will also want to check and delete all mailboxes that are no longer being used, such as those that were set up for an employee that has left the company. All mailboxes that are built and active in the system should be mailboxes that are checked daily. Please follow the instructions in the administrative user guide to “DELETE A MAILBOX” if you know the mailboxes that are no longer being used.

If you need DLM onsite to assist you with changing passwords or deleting mailboxes, our service charges are $90 for the first hour $20 each additional ¼ hour that we are onsite. For some customers these changes can be completed remotely from our office and our service charge for an offsite change is $40. Please give us a call Monday – Friday 8-4:30 so we can schedule a visit.

Thanks!
DLM Christmas Party 2016 https://www.dlmcommunications.com/pages/blog/entry/10 Mon, 12 Dec 2016 09:18:05 EST https://www.dlmcommunications.com/pages/blog/entry/10
Another wonderful year coming to a close and another wonderful Christmas Party.

A huge, HUGE Thank you to Vickie Lenhof-Muirheid and Don Muirheid for a enjoyable evening with lots of laughs and love and family!

Back Row From left to right: Alex, Alan, Patty, Dave, Rachel, Mary, Cedric, Don, Kirk, Laura, Tanesha, Lee

Bottom Row From left to right : Devinn, Rhonda, Jenny, Vickie, Michelle, Mike.

Quick Tips: Accessing Voicemail from Offsite https://www.dlmcommunications.com/pages/blog/entry/9 Mon, 28 Nov 2016 13:43:02 EST https://www.dlmcommunications.com/pages/blog/entry/9
How to access voicemails from outside of the office:

Voicemail can be accessed outside of the office by calling into the main number and

1.) Having someone in the office transfer you to a voicemail box

2.) The voicemails auto attendant answering

In either scenario, once the voicemail answers you will dial

#6 *(ext number)

This tells the voicemail; I am a mailbox owner and need to access that mailbox.

So if you are extension 101 and you call inside from outside the office and your company live answers this is an example of how the process will play out.

Once your call is answered, the person answering will press their VOICEMAIL TRANSFER, VM TRANS, VM XFER (or whatever button they use to put callers into voicemail) and then they will dial ANY extension number. It doesn’t have to be your extension; it can be anyone that has a voicemail. You will hear their greeting play typically saying “Please leave me a message and I’ll call you back.” BEFORE that greeting ends, you will need to press #6*101

You will then hear a prompt to enter your password followed by the pound sign. You will need to follow the prompts accordingly, just like you do when accessing the mailbox inside of the office.

If you have an auto attendant that answers, as soon as the auto attendant answers you can press #6*100 and again will be prompted to enter your password followed by the # sign.

As long as you have accessed the voicemail system, this key command will work to get you access to logging into a personal mailbox.
Labor Day Closures! https://www.dlmcommunications.com/pages/blog/entry/8 Thu, 18 Aug 2016 11:10:27 EST https://www.dlmcommunications.com/pages/blog/entry/8
Good Morning DLM Customer!

Just a reminder, we at DLM will be enjoying a day off with family and friends on September 5th in observance of Labor Day!
